Theresa Breslin biography

Theresa Breslin is a Scottish author of books for children and young adults. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked as a librarian. She has written more than thirty books for children and young adults, and her work has appeared on stage, radio and television.

Breslin won the CILIP Carnegie Medal in 1994. Whispers in the Graveyard won the Carnegie Medal, and The Dream Master was shortlisted for the Children’s Book Award. Divided City was shortlisted for ten book awards and won two of them.

Her historical fiction includes The Medici Seal, a novel about Matteo, a boy rescued by Leonardo da Vinci who becomes involved in Leonardo’s studio and scientific investigations in Renaissance Italy. Random House published The Medici Seal in 2007 for readers aged 12 and above.

Remembrance is her young adult novel about young people during the First World War. Corgi Childrens published the paperback edition of Remembrance on 27 March 2014, with the ebook edition published in 2011.

Dream Master: Gladiator is part of the Dream Master fantasy series and follows Cy and the Dream Master to Pompeii on the eve of the eruption of Vesuvius. RHCP Digital published the ebook on 31 March 2011.
