Tegan Quin biography

Tegan Quin is an author and musician who works with her twin sister, Sara Quin, in the musical duo Tegan and Sara. The sisters have released ten albums, and in 2016 they created the Tegan and Sara Foundation, which works for health, economic justice and representation for LGBTQ+ people.

Tegan Quin co-wrote High School with Sara Quin. The memoir is about Sara and Tegan Quin as identical twins from Calgary, Alberta, growing up in the 1990s before their adult music career.

For young readers, Tegan Quin and Sara Quin co-wrote the Tegan and Sara graphic novel duology, illustrated by Tillie Walden. Tegan and Sara: Junior High, volume 1, was published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux (BYR) on 30 May 2023 for readers aged 10 to 14. The book blends fiction and autobiography in a present-day story about identical twins navigating junior high, coming out, sisterhood and the start of a musical journey.

Tegan and Sara: Crush, volume 2, was published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux (BYR) on 1 October 2024 for readers aged 10 to 14. The book continues the middle-grade graphic novel duology about junior high, crushes and the sisters’ changing lives.

Merry Christmess is Tegan Quin’s first solo novel and her debut middle-grade novel. It is the first Clementine Twins book, with 288 pages, an age range of 8 to 12, and an on-sale date of 1 September 2026.
