Stephenie Meyer is an American author whose debut novel was Twilight. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English literature. Her writing is associated with young adult, paranormal romance, science fiction and fantasy.
The Twilight Saga includes Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, with The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner and Midnight Sun also connected to the same fictional world. Twilight follows Isabella Swan after she moves to Forks, Washington, and meets Edward Cullen, whose vampire identity becomes central to the story.
Meyer has also written The Host and The Chemist. The Host is an adult novel narrated in audiobook form by Kate Reading, and The Chemist is a spy thriller for adult readers published in November 2016.
A tenth-anniversary edition paired Twilight with Life and Death, a reimagining of the same story. Her later Twilight-related publication Midnight Sun retells Bella and Edward’s story from Edward’s point of view.
