Minh Lê biography

Minh Lê is a children’s author whose picture books include Let Me Finish!, illustrated by Isabel Roxas; Drawn Together, illustrated by Dan Santat; Lift, illustrated by Dan Santat; The Blur, illustrated by Dan Santat; The Perfect Seat, illustrated by Gus Gordon; Real to Me, illustrated by Raissa Figueroa; and Built to Last, illustrated by Dan Santat.

Drawn Together was published by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers on 5 June 2018 and won the 2019 Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature. Lift was nominated for an Eisner Award. Lê also wrote Green Lantern: Legacy, a graphic novel illustrated by Andie Tong.

Lê has written for the New York Times, the Horn Book, the Huffington Post and NPR. He is on the faculty of the Hamline University MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults and serves on the board of We Need Diverse Books.

A Lotus for You, written by Minh Lê and illustrated by Cátia Chien, is a young readers’ biography of Thich Nhat Hanh scheduled for release to mark what would have been Thich Nhat Hanh’s 100th birthday.
