Matt Hunt biography

Matt Hunt is a children’s author-illustrator. In 2025, Nosy Crow published his picture book How to Find a Yeti, and he is also the author-illustrator of Message in a Bottle. He has illustrated young fiction as well as picture books, including the Prince Not-So Charming series, with the titles Prince Not-So Charming: Once Upon a Prank and Prince Not-So Charming: Her Royal Slyness.

His illustration work includes The Pirates Are Coming! by John Condon, Little People, Big Dreams: Stephen Hawking by Maria Isabel Sánchez Vegara, Quiet Down, Loud Town! by Alastair Heim and Walrus in the Bathtub by Deborah Underwood. In 2023, Walker Books published A First Book of Dinosaurs by Simon Mole, illustrated by Matt Hunt.

Matt Hunt has also illustrated several books for younger readers. These include The Cat and the Rat and the Hat in 2021, A Whale of a Time: a funny poem for every day of the year in 2023, Upside Down Opposites in January 2025, The Bear and the Hare and the Fair in 2025, and Upside Down Animals in August 2025.
