Mark Hoffmann biography

Mark Hoffmann is an author and illustrator of children’s books, an editorial illustrator and a fine artist. He teaches illustration as a professor in the illustration department at Montserrat College of Art. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Hoffmann has written and illustrated the picture books Fruit Bowl and Dirt Cheap. His illustration work for children includes You Can Read by Helaine Becker, Hawks Kettle, Puffins Wheel by Susan Vande Griek, Poop by Poppy Champignon, Iamasaurus by Anne Ylvisaker and Explosion at the Poem Factory by Kyle Lukoff.

He illustrated Dozens of Doughnuts, written by Carrie Finison and published by G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers in 2020. He also illustrated Soren’s Seventh Song by Dave Eggers, published by Cameron in February 2024.
