Kirk Reedstrom biography

Kirk Reedstrom writes and illustrates children’s books. His Duck and Moose books are early graphic novels for readers aged 6 to 8, published by Disney Publishing Group. The series centres on Duck and Moose, two contrasting neighbours whose stories focus on friendship, compromise and working through differences.

Reedstrom has worked in a public library system and previously worked as a bookseller at Blue Willow Bookshop. He has led children’s art workshops at The Kimball Museum and interned with William Joyce at Moonbot Studios. His creative practice uses traditional and digital media to develop comic characters and lively situations for young readers.

Duck and Moose: Duck Moves In! was published on 5 March 2024 as book 1 in the Duck and Moose series. Duck and Moose: Moose Blasts Off! was also published on 5 March 2024 as book 2 in the series. Each of those books has 64 pages and was published by Disney Publishing Group.

His later Duck and Moose books include Duck and Moose: Duck in the Dark! and Duck and Moose: Moose’s Bad Hair Day! Duck and Moose: Moose’s Bad Hair Day! was published on 2 September 2025.
