Kerilynn Wilson biography

Kerilynn Wilson is an author-illustrator who makes children’s and young adult books. Her graphic novel The Faint of Heart was published by Greenwillow Books on 13 June 2023. The book is speculative fiction for ages 12 to 18, and follows June, a teenage girl in a future where people undergo surgery to remove their hearts and emotions.

The Faint of Heart is a 304-page graphic novel, written and illustrated by Wilson. Its story centres on June, Max, the Scientist, and a world where heart-removal has changed how people feel sadness, anxiety, anger and pleasure.

Wilson’s picture book One Foggy Christmas Eve was published by Greenwillow Books on 10 September 2024. She wrote and illustrated the 40-page book, which follows a child trying to reach Nana and Papa’s house on a foggy Christmas Eve with a handmade present.

One Foggy Christmas Eve is described for young readers, with age guidance ranging from 2 to 7 in one review and 4 to 8 in another children’s book record. The illustrations use thin-lined artwork, shadowy fog, lights and fantastical deer-like creatures to tell the Christmas Eve journey.

Wilson’s picture book A Monstrous Bedtime was published on 12 August 2025. The 32-page book turns a bedtime routine into a story about a child helping the monster under the bed to sleep.
