K. O'Neill biography

K. O’Neill is an author and illustrator of children’s graphic novels. Their books are made with themes of kindness, inclusiveness and well-being, and with fictional worlds designed for children to explore through character and story. Their Tea Dragon books are published for readers aged 8–12 by Random House Graphic.

The Tea Dragon Society is a graphic fantasy about Greta, a young blacksmith apprentice who becomes involved with people who care for tea-leaf-producing miniature dragons. The book was released on 31 October 2017, with Katie O’Neill as both writer and illustrator, and it follows Princess Princess Ever After, published in 2016.

The Tea Dragon series includes The Tea Dragon Society, The Tea Dragon Festival and The Tea Dragon Tapestry. The series centres on gentle fantasy, craft, friendship and the care of tea dragons, and it is part of O’Neill’s body of middle-grade graphic novel work.

The Moth Keeper was published by Random House Graphic on 7 March 2023. It is a 288-page graphic novel for readers aged 8–12 about Anya, a new Moth Keeper responsible for protecting lunar moths that allow the Night-Lily flower to bloom once a year.
