Janet Harvey biography

Janet Harvey is an American writer of comics, graphic novels, film and games. Her published comics work includes Angel City for Oni Press, The Curie Society for MIT Press and Einhorn’s Epic Productions, and a Cassandra Cain story connected with DC Comics’ No Man’s Land storyline.

Angel City: Town Without Pity, illustrated by Megan Levens and colored by Nick Filardi, is a 1930s Hollywood noir comic published by Oni Press. The book was named a finalist for YALSA’s Great Graphic Novels for Teens list.

Harvey wrote The Curie Society, a young adult graphic novel created by Heather Einhorn and Adam Staffaroni and illustrated by Sonia Liao. MIT Press published the book in 2021. The story follows a covert group of young women connected with an organization dedicated to women in STEM.

Her games work includes writing for the DC Universe Online massively multiplayer online role-playing game. She also wrote the feature film A Million Hits, which was distributed by Summer Hill Films after festival screenings.

Goodreads lists Harvey as the author of the six-issue Angel City series and as the writer of The Curie Society. MIT Press published The Curie Society in paperback on April 27, 2021.
