Ibram X. Kendi is an American author and historian whose work focuses on racism, antiracism and the history of racist ideas. His books include Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, How to Be an Antiracist, How to Raise an Antiracist and How to Be a (Young) Antiracist.
Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America won the National Book Award for Nonfiction. Kendi has also written for younger readers, including Antiracist Baby and Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You, which he co-authored with Jason Reynolds.
Kendi co-edited Four Hundred Souls with Keisha N. Blain; the book was published on 2 February 2021. In 2021, he was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship.
