Doogie Horner is an author, illustrator and comedian. He is the author and illustrator of The Adventures of Invisible Boy, a middle-grade graphic novel published by G. P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers on 30 January 2024 for readers aged 8 to 12. The book introduced the Invisible Boy series and follows Stanley, a new pupil who becomes invisible after a science-fair accident.
The Adventures of Invisible Boy was a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard selection, an ALA Excellence in Children’s Science Fiction Notable Book, a Read with Jenna Junior Summer 2024 Pick and The Week Junior Favorite Graphic Novel of the Year. Horner continued the series with The Adventures of Invisible Boy: Zeroes to Heroes, published by G. P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers on 28 January 2025.
Horner is the illustrator of Quirk Books’ Kid Legends series. His work in that series includes Kid Presidents, Kid Athletes, Kid Artists and Kid Authors, all written by David Stabler. He also wrote 100 Ghosts, Everything Explained Through Flowcharts, Some Very Interesting Cats Perhaps You Weren’t Aware Of and This Might Hurt a Bit.
This Might Hurt a Bit is a young adult novel by Horner, published on 4 June 2019. Christmas in the Batcave: A Brave, Bold, and Utterly Exhausting Adventure, written by Horner and illustrated by Christian Cornia, was published by Running Press on 1 October 2024.
