Devin Grayson biography

Devin Grayson is a comics writer with more than two decades of professional experience writing superhero stories. Batman: Gotham Knights was published in March 2000, and Grayson became the first female writer to create, launch and write a new ongoing Batman title. Her superhero work has included Batman, Catwoman, Nightwing and The Titans, and she contributed to the No Man’s Land story arc.

Grayson’s later comics projects include the Marvel Rising comics event and collected editions of the creator-owned miniseries USER and Matador through Image. She wrote Doctor Strange: The Fate of Dreams, an original prose novel about Marvel’s Doctor Strange. The Complete Omni, by Devin Grayson, Melody Cooper and Alitha E Martinez, was published by Humanoids, Inc. on 20 September 2022.

For young adult readers, Grayson worked with Scott Westerfeld on the Uglies graphic novels. Uglies: Cutters was written by Scott Westerfeld and Devin Grayson, illustrated by Steven Cummings, published by Del Rey on 4 December 2012, and aimed at readers aged 13 and up. Her published work also includes Uglies: Shay’s Story, Black Widow Modern Era Epic Collection: The Itsy-Bitsy Spider, Thunderbolts: The Saga of Yelena Belova and Rewild.
