Circe Moskowitz is an American fiction writer and editor specializing in young adult horror and fantasy. Her work often explores themes of identity, death, and the supernatural.
She contributed the short story “Creatures of Kings” to the anthology Reclaim the Stars, edited by Zoraida Córdova and published in 2022. The story follows Vada Rivera, a girl who cannot die, as she uncovers dark truths about her lineage and destiny. The anthology features seventeen tales that blend science fiction and fantasy with Latin American cultural elements.
In 2023, Moskowitz edited All These Sunken Souls: A Black Horror Anthology, a collection of ten horror stories centered on Black protagonists. Contributors include Kalynn Bayron, Ashia Monet, Liselle Sambury, and others. The anthology received critical acclaim for its fresh takes on horror tropes and its focus on Black experiences within the genre.
Moskowitz is also the co-creator of the forthcoming graphic novel Good Mourning, scheduled for publication in 2026.
