Bill Cotter biography

Bill Cotter is a children’s author and illustrator. His picture book Don’t Push the Button! was published by Sourcebooks on 1 November 2013, with Larry the monster as the central character and an interactive story built around the rule not to press a button.

Cotter continued the Larry stories with seasonal and interactive picture books. Don’t Push the Button! A Christmas Adventure was published on 3 October 2017, and Don’t Push the Button! A Halloween Treat sends Larry trick-or-treating in another interactive story for very young children.

His other Larry books include Five Little Monsters Jumping on the Bed, a read-aloud picture book with prompts such as petting, pressing and tickling the monsters. A bilingual English-Spanish board-book edition of Don’t Push the Button! / ¡No Aprietes el Botón! is scheduled for publication by Sourcebooks Jabberwocky on 7 July 2026.
