Aubrey Plaza biography

Aubrey Plaza is an actress and producer who writes children’s picture books with Dan Murphy. Their picture book The Legend of the Christmas Witch was illustrated by Julia Iredale and published by Viking Books for Young Readers on 16 November 2021. It is a 56-page children’s picture book for ages 5–8 and grades K–3.

The Legend of the Christmas Witch presents Kristtörn, Santa Claus’s twin sister, in a holiday story drawing on folklore, magic and a search for her separated brother. The book was reviewed as a children’s title for ages 5–8, with Dan Murphy and Aubrey Plaza named as the writers and Julia Iredale as the illustrator.

Plaza and Murphy continued the Christmas Witch story with The Return of the Christmas Witch, illustrated by Julia Iredale and published by Viking Books for Young Readers on 11 October 2022. This 56-page follow-up is for ages 5–8 and grades K–3, and it follows Kristtörn after she awakens from ice and encounters a modern version of Christmas shaped by the Kringle Corporation.
