Stephanie Perkins biography

Stephanie Perkins is an author and anthology editor whose books include the young adult romance novels Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door and Isla and the Happily Ever After. Before becoming a novelist, she worked with books as a bookseller and a librarian.

Perkins edited the young adult short-story collection My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories, which includes her story “It’s a Yuletide Miracle, Charlie Brown” alongside stories by Holly Black, Ally Carter, Matt de la Peña, Gayle Forman, Jenny Han, David Levithan, Kelly Link, Myra McEntire, Rainbow Rowell, Laini Taylor and Kiersten White. The audiobook edition was published by Listening Library on 14 October 2014.

Her young adult horror novel There’s Someone Inside Your House was published in hardcover and ebook by Dutton Books for Young Readers on 26 September 2017, with a paperback edition following on 28 August 2018. The UK edition was published by Macmillan Children’s Books on 5 October 2017 and is presented for readers aged 12 and above.

Perkins continued in contemporary young adult horror with The Woods Are Always Watching, about two best friends on a three-day hike in the Pisgah National Forest. Dutton Books for Young Readers published the hardcover and ebook editions on 31 August 2021, and the paperback edition on 26 July 2022.
