Stephanie Cooke is a writer and editor of children’s and young adult graphic novels. Her middle-grade titles include Oh My Gods! (with co-author Insha Fitzpatrick; illustrated by Juliana Moon, 2021), a school-set comedy that reimagines Greek mythology, and ParaNorthern: And the Chaos Bunny A-hop-calypse (illustrated by Mari Costa, 2021), a fantasy adventure featuring a young witch and her friends. She is also the co-creator, with Whitney Gardner, of The Racc Pack, a series about a raccoon family that launched in 2024 with Simon & Schuster and continues in subsequent volumes.
For teen readers, Cooke wrote the standalone graphic novel Pillow Talk (illustrated by Mel Valentine Vargas, HarperAlley, 2024), a coming-of-age story set in a competitive pillow-fighting league. In addition to original series work, her bylines and credits include contributions to licensed and anthology projects across comics for young audiences.
Cooke’s publisher biographies describe her as an award-winning, award-nominated creator whose work appears with imprints such as HarperAlley (HarperCollins), Etch/Clarion, and Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers. She presents at schools, libraries, and festivals about making comics and storytelling for middle-grade and teen readers.
