Sara Vogler biography

Sara Vogler is a children’s author who writes in partnership with Jan Burchett. Together they have produced more than two hundred books for young readers across picture books, young fiction, and educational series. Their work appears with trade and educational publishers including Hachette, Bloomsbury, Oxford University Press, and Collins.

Vogler and Burchett are the creators of the adventure series Sam Silver: Undercover Pirate and the historical espionage sequence Spy Master. Their action–adventure cycle Wild Rescue features twins tackling wildlife emergencies around the world, while the comedy-driven Gargoylz books follow mischievous stone creatures causing chaos at school. For Bloomsbury they wrote the football-themed chapter-book series The Tigers.

In addition to original series, the duo has contributed to franchise and multi-author projects published under house pseudonyms, including titles connected with Dinosaur Cove, Beast Quest, and The Lady Grace Mysteries. Their educational and reading-scheme contributions span programs such as Oxford Reading Tree/Project X and Collins Big Cat, with fiction and nonfiction written for classroom progression and intervention lists.

Vogler’s bibliography reflects a focus on fast-paced plots, clear episodic structure, and accessible vocabulary for newly independent and middle-grade readers. The authors regularly collaborate with schools and libraries through events and workshops linked to their books.
