Roshani Chokshi is an American author known for her work in children’s and young adult literature. She is the author of the middle grade fantasy series Pandava, which begins with Arguana and the End of Time, published by Rick Riordan Presents in 2018. The series draws inspiration from Hindu mythology and follows the adventures of a young protagonist, Aru Shah.
Chokshi has also written young adult novels, including The Star-Touched Queen (2016), which was published by St. Martin’s Griffin. This novel is influenced by Indian folklore and mythology. She continued the story with a companion novel, A Crown of Wishes (2017), and a novella, Death and Night (2017).
In addition to her middle grade and young adult works, Chokshi has written for adult audiences. Her adult debut, The Last Tale of the Flower Bride, was published by William Morrow in 2023.
Chokshi’s books have received recognition from various literary organizations. Aru Shah and the End of Time was named to the 2019 Texas Bluebonnet Award Master List.
