Nina Mata biography

Nina Mata is an illustrator known for her work in children’s literature. She has illustrated numerous picture books and early readers, collaborating with a variety of authors. Mata is recognized for her vibrant and expressive artwork, which often features diverse characters and themes of empowerment.

Her illustrations appear in the I Can Read! My First series, including Soccer Star by Jacqueline Jules, published by HarperCollins. Mata is also the illustrator of She’s Got This by Laurie Hernandez, published by HarperCollins in 2018. In addition, she illustrated What Does It Mean to Be American? by Rana DiOrio and Elad Yoran, published by Sourcebooks in 2019.

Nina Mata illustrated the picture book I Promise by LeBron James, published by HarperCollins in 2020.
