Margaret Rae biography

Margaret Rae is a fiction writer and physician specialising in infectious diseases. Her debut graphic novel, Masks, was written with Brian Nathanson, illustrated by Beck Kubrick and coloured by Thomas Philipson.

Masks follows Poe, Rice and Shelley, three monster children who hide from humans and go out on Halloween after their home is marked for demolition. The book is described for readers aged 10 to 12 and for grades 4 and up, with a Lexile measure of HL520L.

Masks was published by Andrews McMeel Publishing, runs to 240 pages, and has the ISBN 9781524886455. Its release date was 29 July 2025.
