Madeleine Roux biography

Madeleine Roux is an American author known for writing speculative fiction for children, teens, and adults. She studied creative writing and acting at Beloit College and began her publishing career with the digital serial Allison Hewitt Is Trapped in 2011, which was later released in print. Roux gained recognition for her Asylum series, a bestselling collection of young adult horror novels published by HarperCollins starting in 2013. The series includes Asylum, Sanctum, Catacomb, and several companion novellas.

Roux has also written for established franchises. She authored the original novel World of Warcraft: The Shining Blade and contributed The Book of Living Secrets, a standalone fantasy novel for young readers. Her bibliography features a range of horror, fantasy, and science fiction titles, including House of Furies, Salvaged, and Reclaimed. She is also the writer behind entries in the Dungeons & Dragons universe, such as The Shadowglass.

Roux’s books have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list. Her work has been translated into multiple languages, and she regularly appears at book festivals and events. In 2017, House of Furies was released by HarperTeen as the first in a gothic horror trilogy.
