Lisa Morton is a screenwriter, horror-fiction author and writer of non-fiction about Halloween. Her published work spans horror, short stories and non-fiction, including Trick or Treat: A History of Halloween and The Halloween Encyclopedia.
Her first novel was The Castle of Los Angeles, released by Gray Friar Press in 2010. Her first collection was Monsters of L.A., published by Bad Moon Books in October 2011.
Her books include Ghosts: A Haunted History, published in 2015, Calling the Spirits: A History of Seances, published in 2021, and Netherworld, the first book in The Chronicles of Diana Furnaval.
She edited Weird Women: Classic Supernatural Fiction by Groundbreaking Female Writers, 1852-1923 with Leslie S. Klinger. Her short stories have appeared in more than 50 books and magazines.
