Krystal Sutherland biography

Krystal Sutherland is an Australian author known for her work in young adult fiction. She was born and raised in Townsville, Queensland, Australia. Sutherland attended the Queensland University of Technology, where she studied journalism. Her career in writing began with her debut novel, Our Chemical Hearts, published in 2016 by G.P. Putnam’s Sons. The book received critical acclaim and was later adapted into a film titled Chemical Hearts, released by Amazon Studios in 2020.

Following the success of her first novel, Sutherland published her second book, A Semi-Definitive List of Worst Nightmares, in 2017. This novel was also well-received and further established her reputation in the young adult genre. Her third novel, House of Hollow, was published in 2021 and continued to garner positive reviews for its unique blend of mystery and fantasy elements.
