Kody Keplinger biography

Kody Keplinger is an American author known for writing young adult novels. She published her debut novel, The DUFF, in 2010 with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. Keplinger wrote The DUFF while she was a teenager, and the book explores themes of self-acceptance and identity among high school students.

Following her debut, Keplinger has written several other young adult novels, including Shut Out (2011), A Midsummer’s Nightmare (2012), Goldfish (2013), and Lying Out Loud (2015). Her works often address issues relevant to teens, such as friendship, family dynamics, and personal growth.

In addition to her young adult fiction, Keplinger has written for younger readers. Her middle grade novel That’s Not What Happened was published in 2018 by Scholastic Press. She has also contributed to anthologies and written essays on topics related to disability and representation in literature.

Kody Keplinger is visually impaired and has spoken publicly about her experiences with Leber congenital amaurosis, a condition that affects her vision. She is an advocate for disability representation in books and media.

Her novel Run was published by Scholastic in 2016.
