Kiara Brinkman biography

Kiara Brinkman is an American author known for her work in both adult and children’s literature. She is the author of the novel Up High in the Trees, which was published by Grove Press in 2007. Brinkman has also co-authored the middle grade graphic novel Lucy in the Sky with artist Sean Chiki, published by First Second in 2020. Her writing has appeared in various literary journals, including McSweeney’s and One Story. Brinkman’s debut novel, Up High in the Trees, was recognized as a finalist for the Northern California Book Award in 2008.
