Josh Funk biography

Josh Funk is an American author known for writing picture books for children. He is the author of the Lady Pancake & Sir French Toast series, which began with the publication of Lady Pancake & Sir French Toast in 2015 by Sterling Children’s Books. The series features food-based characters and has expanded to include several sequels.

Funk has also written other picture books, including How to Code a Sandcastle and How to Code a Rollercoaster, both illustrated by Sara Palacios and published by Viking Books for Young Readers. These books introduce young readers to basic coding concepts through engaging stories. Additionally, Funk is the author of Dear Dragon, illustrated by Rodolfo Montalvo, and Albie Newton, illustrated by Ester Garay, both published by Sterling Children’s Books.

Josh Funk’s works have been recognized for their humor and creativity, and he frequently collaborates with illustrators to bring his stories to life. He is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and has participated in various literacy events and school visits.

In 2023, Josh Funk published It’s Not the Three Little Pigs, illustrated by Edwardian Taylor and published by Two Lions.
