Klassen’s breakthrough came in 2011 when he both wrote and illustrated his first picture book, “I Want My Hat Back.” The book received critical acclaim and was a New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Book of the Year. This success marked the beginning of Klassen’s rise to prominence in the industry.

His books, including “This Is Not My Hat” and “We Found a Hat,” have garnered numerous awards and accolades, captivating young readers with their imaginative narratives and visually stunning illustrations.
