Joe Todd-Stanton is a British author and illustrator known for his work in children’s literature. He studied illustration at the University of the West of England. Todd-Stanton has created several picture books, often drawing inspiration from mythology, folklore, and adventure themes.
He is the creator of the Brownstone’s Mythical Collection series, which includes Arthur and the Golden Rope (2016), Marcy and the Riddle of the Sphinx (2017), Erik and the Gods’ Trick (2018), and Leo and the Gorgon’s Curse (2020), published by Flying Eye Books. These books follow members of the Brownstone family as they encounter legendary creatures and solve ancient mysteries.
Todd-Stanton has also written and illustrated standalone picture books such as The Secret of Black Rock (2017), which was published by Flying Eye Books. His work has been recognized for its detailed illustrations and engaging storytelling.
In 2018, Joe Todd-Stanton won the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize in the Illustrated Books category for The Secret of Black Rock.
