Jasmine Walls is a writer and editor whose work spans young adult and middle grade graphic novels and digital comics. She is the writer of the YA graphic novel Brooms, illustrated by Teo DuVall and published by Levine Querido in 2023. The book blends historical fantasy with character-driven storytelling and has been adopted by schools and libraries for teen readers.
Walls created the tabletop role-playing–themed series The Last Session with artist Dozerdraws for Mad Cave Studios; the first collected volume, Roll for Initiative, gathers issues #1–5. Her nonfiction comics include Seen: Edmonia Lewis for BOOM! Box/BOOM! Studios, illustrated by Bex Glendining, which introduces readers to the 19th-century sculptor through an accessible, research-based narrative for classrooms.
In addition to long-form work, Walls has written for digital serials, notably Vixen: NYC, featuring DC’s Mari McCabe in a contemporary setting. Print editions of the series collect the webcomic episodes for a wider readership.
Publisher and author materials note earlier experience in professional baking and teaching martial arts, as well as ongoing editorial and art practice. Across projects, Walls focuses on inclusive, high-interest stories for young audiences, collaborating closely with illustrators to pair clear scripting with visual storytelling that supports emerging and independent readers.
