Janet Harvey biography

Janet Harvey is a comics writer whose work includes young adult–focused graphic novels and series. She wrote Angel City: Town Without Pity for Oni Press, a 1930s Hollywood noir collected in 2017 and named to YALSA’s 2018 Great Graphic Novels for Teens list. Harvey also co-created the STEM action graphic novel The Curie Society with Heather Einhorn and Adam Staffaroni, which appeared on YALSA’s 2022 Great Graphic Novels for Teens list.

Earlier in her career, Harvey contributed to DC Comics continuity with the first adventure of Cassandra Cain during the “No Man’s Land” era. Her credits extend to licensed and original projects across publishers, reflecting a focus on character-driven genre storytelling with teen appeal.

Beyond print, Harvey has written for games, including a staff writer role on the DC Universe Online MMORPG. Publisher materials also note work in film and transmedia projects.
