Jamie Sumner is an American author known for her middle grade novels that often explore themes of family, resilience, and disability. She holds a Master of Arts degree in English and has experience as a teacher. Sumner’s writing is informed by her personal experiences as a parent and advocate for children with disabilities.

Her debut middle grade novel, Roll with It, was published by Atheneum Books for Young Readers in 2019. The story centers on Ellie, a girl who uses a wheelchair and aspires to become a professional baker. The novel has been recognized for its authentic portrayal of disability and family dynamics.
