Grace Ellis biography

Grace Ellis is an American writer known for her work in comics and graphic novels. She is a co-creator and writer of the comic series Lumberjanes, which debuted in 2014 from BOOM! Studios. The series, created with Shannon Watters, Noelle Stevenson, and Brooke Allen, follows a group of girls at a summer camp who encounter supernatural creatures and mysteries. Lumberjanes has received critical recognition and has been noted for its inclusive storytelling.

Ellis has also written other comics, including Moonstruck, published by Image Comics. Moonstruck is a fantasy romance series illustrated by Shae Beagle, centering on a werewolf barista and her friends as they navigate magical adventures and personal relationships. The first issue of Moonstruck was released in 2017.

In addition to her comics work, Ellis has contributed to anthologies and other collaborative projects. She has been recognized for her contributions to LGBTQ+ representation in comics. In 2021, Grace Ellis published her debut graphic novel Flung Out of Space: Inspired by the Indecent Adventures of Patricia Highsmith, illustrated by Hannah Templer and published by Abrams ComicArts.
