Erin Hunter is the collective pseudonym used by a team of authors who write several popular series of children’s fantasy novels. The name is most closely associated with the Warriors series, which follows the adventures of clans of wild cats. The team of writers who have contributed to the Erin Hunter books includes Kate Cary, Cherith Baldry, Tui T. Sutherland, and Victoria Holmes, among others. Victoria Holmes originally developed the storylines and edited the books, while the other authors wrote the manuscripts.
The first book in the Warriors series, Into the Wild, was published by HarperCollins in 2003. Since then, the series has expanded to include multiple arcs, super editions, novellas, and field guides. In addition to Warriors, the Erin Hunter team has created other animal fantasy series, including Seekers, which centers on bears, Survivors, which follows dogs, and Bravelands, which features African animals.
The Erin Hunter books are published by HarperCollins. The series has been recognized for its detailed world-building and exploration of themes such as loyalty, survival, and the natural world. The Warriors series has been translated into several languages and has a large international readership.
In 2018, the Erin Hunter team published Lost Stars, the first book in the seventh arc of the Warriors series.
