Emma Hunsinger is an American cartoonist and illustrator known for her work in children’s literature and comics. She is a graduate of the Center for Cartoon Studies. Hunsinger’s illustrations and comics have appeared in publications such as The New Yorker.
Hunsinger is the co-author and illustrator, with Tillie Walden, of the picture book My Parents Won’t Stop Talking!, published by Roaring Brook Press in 2022. The book explores the experience of a child waiting for her parents to finish a conversation so she can play with her friend. Hunsinger has also contributed to anthologies and has published short comics, including the widely circulated comic “How to Draw a Horse,” which appeared in The New Yorker in 2019.
In 2020, Emma Hunsinger was a finalist for the National Magazine Award in the category of Fiction for her comic “How to Draw a Horse.”
