Ellen T. Crenshaw’s journey as a cartoonist and illustrator has unfolded against the picturesque backdrop of the North Shore in Massachusetts. With a passion for storytelling through art, Ellen has left an indelible mark on the graphic novel landscape.

Among her noteworthy creations is “Kiss Number 8,” a collaborative graphic novel with Colleen AF Venable that not only found a place on the National Book Award longlist but also secured Ellen a nomination for the prestigious Russ Manning Award in 2019. Her exploration of historical narratives is evident in “What Was the Turning Point of the Civil War?: Alfred Waud Goes to Gettysburg,” a Who HQ graphic novel that showcases her versatility as an artist.

Adding to her repertoire, Ellen recently contributed “Stacey’s Mistake,” the 14th volume in the Scholastic Graphix Baby-sitters Club graphic novel series, further solidifying her presence in the world of graphic storytelling.
