Danica McKellar is an American author and mathematician known for her work in children’s and young adult literature, particularly in the field of mathematics education. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). McKellar has written several math books aimed at making mathematics accessible and engaging for young readers. Her titles include Math Doesn’t Suck, Kiss My Math, Hot X: Algebra Exposed, and Girls Get Curves: Geometry Takes Shape. These books are designed to help students, especially girls, build confidence and skills in math. In addition to her writing, McKellar has contributed to mathematics education through public speaking and advocacy. Her book Math Doesn’t Suck was published in 2007.
