Charles Ghigna biography

Charles Ghigna is an American poet and author known for his work in children’s literature. He has written more than 100 books of poetry for children, teachers, and adults. Ghigna’s writing often focuses on themes of nature, imagination, and the joy of language. His poetry has appeared in numerous anthologies, textbooks, and magazines.

Ghigna began his career as a writer and educator, teaching creative writing at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. He has also served as a poet-in-residence and has presented at schools, libraries, and conferences across the United States. His books are published by a variety of publishers, including Random House, Scholastic, and Capstone.

Some of his notable works include Animal Tracks: Wild Poems to Read Aloud, First Times, and Good Dogs, Bad Dogs, Good Cats, Bad Cats.
