C.G. Drews is an Australian author recognized for her contributions to young adult fiction. Her debut novel, A Thousand Perfect Notes, was published in 2018 by Hachette UK. This was followed by The Boy Who Steals Houses in 2019, which received a nomination for the 2020 CILIP Carnegie Medal and won the 2020 CBCA Honour Award. Her subsequent work, Don’t Let the Forest In, was released in 2024 and became a New York Times bestseller. Drews’s novels have been translated into multiple languages, reflecting their international appeal.
Beyond her writing, Drews is known for her active presence in the literary community through her blog, Paper Fury, where she shares insights into her writing process and engages with readers. She is represented by Claire Friedman of Inkwell Management. Drews continues to contribute to the young adult genre, with upcoming titles including Hazelthorn (2025) and her adult horror debut, You Did Nothing Wrong (2026).
