Carly Gledhill biography

Carly Gledhill is a British author and illustrator known for her work in children’s picture books. She studied textiles at university and began her career designing for greetings cards and children’s products before moving into book illustration. Gledhill has illustrated and authored several picture books, often featuring animal characters and playful, colorful artwork.

Her published works include the Monty & Sylvester series, which began with Monty & Sylvester: A Tale of Everyday Super Heroes (Hachette Children’s Books, 2018). She is also the creator of the Fox & Son Tailers (2020) and Leap Frog (Nosy Crow, 2020), the latter written by Jane Clarke. Gledhill’s illustrations appear in books by other authors as well, such as Don’t Wake the Dragon by Bianca Schulze (2020).

Her work is recognized for its bold use of color, expressive characters, and engaging visual storytelling. In 2022, Carly Gledhill illustrated Don’t Wake the Dragon: A Branching Story by Bianca Schulze, published by Clever Publishing.
