Barney Saltzberg is an American author and illustrator known for his work in children’s literature. He has written and illustrated numerous picture books, board books, and novelty books for young readers. Saltzberg’s work often features interactive elements, such as lift-the-flap and touch-and-feel components, designed to engage children in the reading experience.

Among his most recognized titles are Beautiful Oops!, which encourages creativity and resilience in the face of mistakes, and Crazy Hair Day, a story about friendship and self-acceptance.
