Allie Millington biography

Allie Millington is a children’s author whose work spans middle grade fiction and picture books. Her debut novel, Olivetti (Feiwel & Friends/Macmillan, March 26, 2024), follows a boy and a vintage typewriter with a surprising voice. The book became a New York Times and USA Today bestseller and drew a published review by Tom Hanks in The New York Times. Publisher materials also note multiple starred reviews and year-end list recognition.

Millington’s second middle grade novel, Once for Yes (Feiwel & Friends/Macmillan, March 25, 2025), is a contemporary story about family, community, and grief. Trade sources identify it as a Junior Library Guild selection. A paperback edition of Olivetti followed with Square Fish (Macmillan) in 2025.

She also writes picture books with WorthyKids/Hachette. When You Find a Hope (illustrated by Anne Lambelet, May 13, 2025) introduces a “tree of hopes” and a young girl who learns to tend and restore a damaged hope.
